Both political parties average over a thousand murders yearly. If statin could do a thorough research they would find that the victims and perpetuators comes from the inner cities where basic amenities are lacking. Criminality is part of the discourse of our people normal lives, they have little protection. The elites and the rich are protected, they have the connection and wealth to buy protection, the workers and poor suffer the consequences, they are powerless. The powers that be do a lot of talking but no concrete action are never taken!! Look at the current state, the police union is in court trying to get their back pay while the Prime Minister is touting them to fight crime,such hypocrisy!! The real solution lies in the changing of our political architecture,changing the occupant of parliament to be replace by servants of our people that reside among them.
