The continuing decline in our economic and social pillars results from our current financial platform. One cannot develop a country financed by the International Monetary Fund whose only objective is to keep us indebted to the benefit of the private sector!! The result of this is evident, rampant corruption, soaring murder rates, migration, social decay, teenage pregnancy, anti-social behavior, and the decline in the rule of law. Our economic program has only one priority: to satisfy corporate Jamaica's greed and profit maximization of corporate Jamaica!!! This strategy thus entails the exorbitant taxes paid by our people and small business, which ultimately lead to stagnation, impoverishment, and chaos; nothing works efficiently in this type of environment. The human instinct to survive elevates the everyman for himself mantra leaving us the mental crisis we now face. The government must drive our economy with the junior partner's private sector.
