The decline of the PNP is still ongoing with the two factions openly contesting for power. Mark Golding from the RISERS and Lisa Hanna from the ONE LOVE  are players that were initially set when Peter Phillip decided to contest Portia Miller Simpson for the post of Party President. The party was split into two camps, all about power and influence not about ideological differences!!  Both factions defended the imposition of the draconian austerity IMF program and both factions discarded the socialist experiment of Michael Manley. Both factions are focused on being the best representative of the ruling class and the need to be in power to benefit from the state's largesse. Golding is in a dilemma, his talking points are not manifested in his actions. Unity can only come from going back to the basic of party policies and objectives, the need to empower the black majority, that will bring unity of purpose, it cannot be going to his rich friends for support, that is not a social policy, it is selling out!!!
